Greetings from Mudi – A father got in touch about his daughter
"A man called me. He sounded both worried and a little despondent. He told me about his daughter, who is about 23 years old. She has dropped out of school and now mostly stays at home and doesn't do much.
He was worried, but he had heard about Baho Neza Education and our knowledge exchange program. And he wondered if there could be a place for his daughter with us?
He said he really wanted her to have a chance to do something. Learn a craft, feel a little purpose, or just meet and get to know other people.
And this, that's exactly why we started Baho Neza Education.
We know that there are many young women who have dropped out of school and are without jobs and opportunities, but who still have a lot of potential. In our latest program "knowledge exchange program", the women share their knowledge in different crafts; sewing, baking, tying baskets, making soap and oils. They get the opportunity to learn something new and with it gain better self-confidence and respect.
