6 days and 90 children later!
Wonderful circus days! Every morning filled with laughter, play and curiosity – but also with thoughtful questions and lovely conversations. We have now had three groups, thirty children in each, over two action-packed days per group. This time, our talented ambassadors have been in charge of the training sessions themselves – they have created schedules and organized every activity and meal for the children.
The children have tried new games, partner acrobatics and practiced body control – but we have also talked about how important it is to take care of the body, just as we must take care of nature. Not throwing litter on the ground, brushing teeth, being careful with soda and sweets...
Each day ended with a shared fruit snack – often with mango, passion fruit, banana, pineapple and orange.
And FINALLY we have gotten real gymnastics mats! They were a huge success – the children were so eager and started doing death-defying flips, so I had to stop them! They were wild with joy! When asked what they thought of their camp days, many said it was much more fun than they had expected – and that they would love to keep coming.
Now the next step awaits – a performance where the ambassadors, some of the children, Mudi and I will all take part. And after that… two new circus days in two other villages!
