VISION

Baho Neza strives for a world where women and communities in Rwanda flourish through health, culture, and entrepreneurship. The aim is to contribute to a society where every individual has the opportunity to take control of their own body, life, and future.

By empowering women and valuing traditional knowledge and food culture, sustainable and healthy communities can emerge.

MISSION

Baho Neza’s mission is to empower vulnerable young women in Rwanda through education in entrepreneurship, health, and culture. Through knowledge, inspiration, and practical skills, the aim is to provide women with tools to take control of their own lives, their health, and their future, so they can create independent, healthy, and meaningful lives.

The belief is that the greatest investment one can give a person is knowledge. Knowledge is power – and empowerment. Unlike material resources, knowledge can never be taken away and it can never be used up. When a woman gains knowledge, she carries it with her throughout her life and can pass it on to others.

The work is carried out through a grassroots-based model where women not only participate in training but also become leaders and ambassadors for change in their own communities. Through workshops and courses, knowledge is shared on topics such as nutrition, physical activity, mental health, and self-care, while entrepreneurship and innovation are encouraged.

After completing the training, participants are encouraged to pass on their knowledge to other women in their villages. In this way, a sustainable chain of learning is created, where women strengthen one another and together contribute to a healthier and more equal society.

This is why the work focuses on ensuring that every woman who takes part in the programs not only develops her own potential but also becomes a force for positive change in her own community.

VALUES

Knowledge as empowerment
Knowledge is considered the most sustainable investment that can be made in a person. Knowledge provides freedom, independence, and the possibility to create change.

Health

Health is seen as something holistic that encompasses body, mind, and lifestyle. Through knowledge about nutrition, movement, mental health, and self-care, the aim is to contribute to a life of balance and well-being.

Community
There is a belief in the strength of community and in people supporting and strengthening one another. When women share knowledge and experiences, sustainable networks of support and development are created.

Empowerment
The work focuses on ensuring that women gain the knowledge, confidence, and agency to shape their own lives and contribute to positive change in their communities.

Culture and tradition
Traditional knowledge, especially in food culture and health, is valued and highlighted, and is seen as an important resource for future innovation and sustainable development.

Sustainable change
There is a belief that real change grows from within society. By strengthening local leadership and knowledge, change is created that is long-term and sustainable.
